Comic Beginnings

Some exciting developments at Mulloway Art this week, with new artists soon to be showing their work in our gallery- I can’t give any details yet, but hope to make an announcement next week…

Thank you to everyone who has shown their support, followed our socials or shouted encouragement in one way or another. It really means a lot.

Mike, our artist recruiter https://www.instagram.com/mulloway_mike/ is hard at work reaching out to artists, and I have been contacting a few myself, with mixed results. In time we can show our value and artists who exhibit with us can be sure we will work hard to promote them and their work.

Since launching the site, some people have asked: Why start an online art gallery?

I could answer with something right on message, like “It is my life’s mission to solve the financial problems of creatives and shower the world in beauty through art” but that’s not it.

“To make a load of money from poor painters” isn’t right either; if we just want to make money, we should probably sell widgets that everyone needs and we can buy cheap in bulk. Mulloway Art is the opposite of that.

All of this got me thinking about how I first got interested in the visual arts.

Anna, our social media guru https://www.instagram.com/annaespina/ has been hammering it home to me that we need some video content to get noticed, so I am taking the opportunity to make something about my early experiences with visual art that led me here.

Look out for the videos on our socials in the coming days. Below is a clue as to what they are about.
